COMING FROM SPAIN TO MENDOZA, ARGENTINA
Coming from Spain, Fermín Fraguas settled in Mendoza, Argentina. Always interested in wine, he worked for several well-known wineries from the region. Following the same path, his son, José, dedicated himself to the management of vineyards and a winery in San Rafael.
Francisco Fraguas (3rd generation) together with his childhood friend, Emilio Corvalán, purchase their first vineyard in Barrancas,Maipú, and a second one, in the emblematic Luján de Cuyo, Carrodilla.
After great effort, the dream of acquiring our own winery was achieved and the first vintage of wines was produced.
Over the years, the entirety of wine production is sold to large wineries.
Having finished their studies, Francisco (Jr.) and Matías joined the team.
Then, the project to bottle our own wines began to take shape.
We expanded into the world market and made our first exports.
We move forward to continue our dream. We believe in the power of wine to break frontiers, build bonds, and unforgettable memories. At Torreleones, there’s wine for every person and every moment.
As a team, we have been living this illusion for many years. Four generations are tied to the world of wine – starting in Spain and all the way to Argentina.
Our wineries and vineyards are located in Mendoza´s heart where we have been producing exceptional vines for decades. We are proud of the quality of our grapes and the care that is put into every bottle we produce.
As a family business, tradition is of ultimate importance, but also, we embrace innovation and creativity. Our efforts rely on producing delicious wines that reflect the unique character of our lands.
